A Quick Hello

I don’t know how you feel about tidying your bed, but I really love to make mine up before the day begins. Our pillows and duvet are gentle shades of gray, creating a peaceful atmosphere in our bedroom.

I’m finally working on some projects and it feels so great to be in creative mode again. I'll share some photos soon.

Chère Nancy,
I hope all is well. Your brother and I are working on some ideas as well. I am making a French puppet theatre and learning how to take pictures...not as lovely as yours, however! I love the gray color of your linens. We have something similar, only in white...so lovely. Take care, Anita

Peaceful surroundings seduce one to linger longer in the comfort of the bedroom. Yours certainly shares those elements.
Hope the rain has worked her magic and eased the gardens thirst...

Your linens look fabulous! My husband prefers if I don't get anything else done in the day it is to make the bed. For him, it sets the tone of the day. I get much satisfaction from it as well, it just helps to start the day out right! Very peaceful setting! ;) Thanks for sharing a reminder of why it's important to do this daily! (I don't like seeing a messy bed when walking into my bedroom). ~CC Catherine

I'm with you! Even if the whole day falls apart and I'm running here and there, it feels so nice to pass my room and see the bed, all dressed and waiting for that wonderful moment when I can crawl in and say goodbye to the day. Beautiful.

I'm so glad you are finding your creative groove again. I'm finding my own this week, and my, it DOES feel good! I'll show you mine, if you show me yours. ;-)

Your linens are very restful - so subtle.

Hugs,

Kate

What soothing colors. :) I must make my bed every morning before I leave. I want to come home to a tidy, comfortable home where I can just collapse and relax. :)

Nancy,
I'm with you. My day is not complete, until the bed is made and a vision to lay my eyes upon when entering the room. I love the soothing hues you've chosen, a sanctuary for the eyes to enjoy!

Hey sweet Nancy... I apologize for being gone so long... my computer has been on the blink since my last post... close to a month ago... I just got it back last night ... trying to play the catch up game is difficult as there is so much to do..

I love the greys... I have done my bedroom in grey this year too... or working on it.. used to be blue and white...

I was just reading your last post... the one before this... about waiting .... wrenches stuck in the wheels... things not falling into place ....all of it keeping your future from moving forward... a post I can truly identify with...

Things including my business for now are at a standstill...

I am wishing you a speedy answer to whatever it is you are waiting for... I hope your situation resolves itself soon

LOTS OF LOVE
JO

I love getting into bed at night, gently folding back the layers.... Mr. Blessing prefers a bundle of wadded up blankets. So my side of the bed is always made and his side is always rumpled. I've come to think it's oddly endearing ;)

Blessings... Polly

Hi Nancy,
Wanted to check in and see how you are doing - I hope all things work out well for you.
I so look forward to all you rnew creations and am glad the creative "bug" came back - I still so enjoy looking at your shoe creations.

Like you, I always make my bed upon waking up and I open the windows to "air out" the house. There is something so cozy and clean about a made bed than a rumpled slept in one. I also take off and fold the covers we slept on and in place put the "day" comforter. I got this strange habit from having my grandmother live at my parents house as far as I could remember, at least my hubby puts up with it :)
