Beautiful Ribbons from Kate

A few posts ago, I wrote of my excitement at having time to learn a new skill, ribbon embroidery. The sweet Kate of Shibori Girl read that post and put together this wonderful care package to inspire me. Kate, your gesture of kindness truly made my day.

Look at all the colors!

I love the texture and feel of these silk ribbons.

Kate is an artist among artists. The refinement and delicacy of her work speak to my heart. Her ability to excel in so many different art genres is mind blowing. Please visit her beautiful blog here.

Thank you so much for the ribbons, Kate. I will play soon.

The ribbons are beautiful! I remember when I was little my mom used to have a hat box filled with silk ribbons in all sorts of textures. I could have played with them for hours, and I still love looking at ribbons. Have fun!

Chère Nancy,

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on Stillwater; indeed, it is a lovely place and I KNOW THAT YOU WOULD LOVE ALL THE ANTIQUE STORES...you know what? What if you and Bill were to fly out next summer...we could do Stillwater and maybe even get you a room at one of the Victorian Bed and Breakfasts? Talk to your husband and see if that would be a possibility. Mille bisous, Anita
