Taken Apart

It all began with water pouring into our hallway. What was supposed to be four days has turned into 2 weeks.

There are days when I feel overwhelmed.

Living in such a messy, dusty, and loud house has made me really rethink what's necessary and what's not. Packed into a kitchen with all of our furniture may make me a true minimalist.

Still with all the craziness, I'm so very thankful for the roof over our heads. If I could just take a shower, our torn up home might even become a slice of heaven.

OH NO......a leak....thank God however, for that roof over our heads, no matter what the circumstances. Somehow however, I suspect that your home is still a graceful refuge. I know what you mean about being a minimalist. There is a peace that comes with having a little less to have to pass by, hop over or dust.

Oh Nancy, sorry for the mess and chaos you are having to deal with. Hoping you get a shower and your beautiful home restored quickly. It's amazing what chaos having your home torn apart can do to our lives. We had straight line winds come through here last month. I need new ceilings in two of our rooms, but one opens into the rest of my house, I keep putting it off. I think I am going to keep on putting it off now1 Can't deal with it at the moment!

Hoping you have a relaxing weekend filled with beauty and grace. Not to mention adoration and appreciation for one that creates so much beauty!

Nancy, totally crazy, but will you watch the video that I sent below? It's a definite pick-me-up. I love her blog, colormekatie or something like that. She spreads happiness wherever she goes. So charming, and just warms your heart at what this group does.

Sounds crazy and so stressful what you are going through! Wish I could come over and help. I am getting pretty good at home-improvement projects, and it doesn't ever seem like work when you are helping someone else. I pray it is all over soon for you guys!!!

PS- I never usually send videos, but I just love this one. Sorry. I tried putting it up on my blog, I totally screwed my entire blog up in the process! I have no clue how to use the new templates. I called my computer guru, she just threw up her hands, blogger has her stumped too!

Thinking of you today, and in my prayers too!

I think we are kindred spirits in the fact that our homes are our sanctuary. Our places we try and fill with peace and beauty, not chaos like you have been dealing with.

Hooray for hero hubby's when you need them! (And even when you don't!!!)

I'm so sorry Nancy. I hope things get back to normal for you soon. I just hate house construction and repairs. We have had some of that too in past years and it is no fun. I hate it when things aren't where they are supposed to be.

sending hugs...
