An Ode to My Canon SX100 and a tearful goodbye . . .

To the many happy days of play and discovery. To the fun family photos and movies that bring us so many happy hours of enjoyment. You performed in the dimmest of situations, never letting me down. To the lovely blog photos you helped me take and the beauty you let me share here on the web. You will be missed, my friend, and many tears have been shed at your loss.

Yesterday, sadly . . . someone stole our beautiful Canon camera. I've had this camera a long time and through thick and thin it has performed beautifully. I'm not sure when I will be back posting. I have no way of replacing my camera at this time. I wish you all adieu for now. May you all have a wonderful holiday season.

Oh such sad news! I am attached to my camera as well but it would be so much worse if I had it a long time. So sorry this happened to you.

You can post without photos. I would not mind. I enjoy reading your words as much as I enjoy seeing your lovely photos. I hope you will be back soon.

Nancy, I'm so sorry your camera was stolen! I will miss your photos, but I don't think you should put your blogging on hold. Your words are equally beautiful, and always like a ray of sunshine. I'll be praying for a replacement camera to come your way. :)

I am so sorry Nancy. This is terrible. I do hope that maybe you will still be able to post something from time to time anyhow whether the posts include photos or not. Hugs!

Dear Nancy, I'm so sorry!!!
Oh my goodness...I, too, am wishing that somehow you will be able to get a camera soon.
I will miss you, but I agree with the friends above...you can just post without photos...we would still love to hear from you, dear friend.
In the meantime, I will be sending my hellos through Anita and Ruben...
Much love,
- Irina

Nancy,

It's been so long since I visited. I am so sorry to hear that someone stole your camera. Of all of my "material" possessions, my camera is one of the dearest to me. There have been many times that I have hid it in various places throughout the house when we go out of town...but I know that there is always the possibility of it getting stolen out of my car or lifted from me when I'm using it.
I know what you mean about not being able to replace it. I waited over a year to get my camera for Christmas, and I have still been waiting on the right time to buy an external flash. Sometimes other things have to take priority.

Maybe you will be able to replace it in an unexpected way...Craigslist, ebay, a yard sale, you just never know...
