The Journey of Roses

Beautiful candy striped roses, last week on Friday . . .

Roses this Friday, in the morning light . . .

The buds have softened and the petals are beginning to fall.

The petals haven't turned brown yet. This is the perfect time to dry them.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Butterflies on a Dull Winter Day

I’m going through sunshine withdrawals.
I had to create something fast to lift my spirits. I started tracing and cutting.

I also found my first attempt at butterflies a year ago.
I was originally planning to do an entire wall of these with all my extra time (she says sarcastically).

Obviously, I have butterflies on the brain.

Two pink hearts in a shoe.
One heart is for me and the other for my husband.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.

Inspiring Me

In need of inspiration, I found this amazing painting on Etsy by Andrea Mae.

I love her serene face. Through her rose colored butterfly, I can see a fairytale world come alive.

I think she will be inspiring me for a long while.

May your days be filled with dreaming.

Saturday

I've spent the day cleaning and putting the holiday decorations away.
A peaceful space is emerging in our home and it's time rest.

Millinery drawers organized and ready for creative fun.

This drawer has guardian fairies.

I'm in the planning stages for several projects I want to accomplish this year.
The key to my success is time management.

I hope to make time my friend this year.

Do you feel prepared for this new year?
Do you have special goals and projects in mind?
