Summer

This summer has been an extremely busy and full one. I feel a bit out of sorts as we enter into a new season. Time is collapsing and the turning of our earth is bringing each day a bit faster than the one before it. Time with my loved ones has taken precedence over everything. Isn't that what our days should be full of?

Glimpses below of summer and a golden laurel wreath. Something I have always wanted to make. I would love to own a museum example of an ancient Greek laurel wreath. Dream on . . .

Enjoy!

Hello Sweety, its been awhile,
Yes, I guess that is what life is all about. Family and Home. but time seems to be flying to fast. The older you get the more it flies.
I love your piano and the table top chandelier is just gorgeous.
France sure does hold a spot in all our hearts.

Crazy summer here too. And honestly, I can't wait for it to be over. I'm looking forward to fall. But then, aren't I always :)

The only thing I'll be pouting about is sending my playmate off to school in a few short weeks.

In any case, I'm happy to see you back Nancy. But cherish your loved ones because, as you said, that is what our days should be full of.

Your pictures are always a breath of fresh air!

Hello Nancy,
Your sentence about what today should be full of just caught my eye. Today I am stranded at home without a car as both of my girlies are having car problems and one of them took mine. So today while stranded I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, orange rolls, an apple crisp, applesauce, pear butter, refrigerator pickles, tomato sauce for winter and a pear jumbled thingee. (I was attempting to glean the last from the trees around here.)

But man, oh man. I am now trying to decide if it is better to be stranded without a car and gain 50 pounds in one weekend, or to have my car and spend a trillion dollars on more junk I don't need. I ponder that question as I send my hubby out to buy vanilla ice cream for the apple crisp!

Hope you are enjoying fall. We have fall weather here in MN and it feels beautiful!

Nancy! Thank you for visiting yesterday! Life is wild here, but we can talk this weekend. I have a meeting at my house with my French colleagues on Sunday, so can we talk on SATURDAY? And I don't recall this WREATH from the last time! YOU FOUND ONE?????

Your creation is wonderful Nancy! In a photo it looks like it could be the real deal. Your photos are, of course, fabulous as usual.

My life has also been full of time spent with family and friends and many needs therein. But it really IS what it's all about. Our loved ones need to see the love of God through us. What a privilege that is.

Blessings, Edie Marie
