Eye Candy!


I’m happy to say we discovered the problem with my email and I am once again receiving comments in my email box.

I wanted to leave you with some eye candy for the weekend.

I think some of you might have read my husband's post here. It’s about how I love antique frames.

I thought I would share a few of my favorite frames.

The frame that captured my eye.




Pretty ivory gesso frame on the mirror in my front room.




This antique French frame was an amazing find. It was one of those lucky days. The seller sold it to me for a song because of the damage. Hint: Never pass up a frame like this because of damage, often times a dealer will lower the price because of it.









I took the two frames above and combined them. I placed the smaller on the larger and then added the print below.









Here are the frames together with the print. I love this layered look. I have this displayed on a table. I never would have thought of displaying frames laying down, but I think this works well.

    Oooohhhh! I LOVE frames! I used to cut Victorian Silhouettes, and collected zillions of frames to put them in to sell, because the work and the frames just 'married' the piece. Anyway, now that I rarely cut them anymore, you'd think I'd be willing to part with some of the boxes and boxes of gessoed wonderment in the attic... but no. I am a certified "Frame Freak" and love each one too much to let go right now. Even with the collection I have, I LOVE yours and swoon for them too!!! Addiction.... ;-)

    And I agree...I never pass up things because of a little damage. We're all a little broken in my opinion. Our imperfections are part of our beauty!

    What a beautiful display.

    Once again your unique individual artistic imagination has been at work and you have taken an object which usually acts as an accessory used to enhance a print or photograph and turned it into a work of art in itself. You have a very special creative talent which allows everything that comes into contact with you to shine in it's own right. Displaying a breathtaking frame within another beautiful frame is an inspired idea :>)
