The Weekend . . .

What a beautiful sunset, she thought to herself as she turned from the open window. A cool crisp breeze lifted the curls from her forehead. Her hand trailed behind as she moved from the window, caressing the wisp of voile that hung there. She picked up the lantern, set it on the table and struck a match. The lighted candle gently spluttered and glowed, illuminating the room and the roses on the table.

A sigh escaped her . . . she was looking forward to the weekend.

  12. Generally she and I share the same feeling about the approaching weekend but not this one. I have spent this one climbing up and down a ladder staining endless amounts of wood on our newly built carport. I guess since handy hubby did the building, I must stain for parking privileges! Unfortunately we did not get done yesterday so as soon as lunch is over I must return to my ladder. I think I am sighing for the weekend to be over!
