Christmas Home

This is truly the most wonderful time of the year. It is a time of hope, and in the air there is a feeling of the miraculous.

Our decorations are simple. They're pretty much the same every year, with a bit of a twist here and there. Every decoration is like an old cherished friend.

The wreath on our door

A deer sits silently in the middle of a mirrored lake

Every Christmas Princess must have a crown . . .

And every package, a beautiful bow

Halls bedecked with garlands

You have seen these before in photos from Christmases past. I love these present balls made by Wendy Addison.

Marie our Snow Queen

Christmas silver and gold

This little fellow makes me laugh. Do you see the little money bag he has lifted toward heaven?

We hide this golden nest every year in our Christmas tree

I think this is my favorite image of Mary and Jesus. I love his expression. He is in Mommy Heaven.

I hope you've enjoyed the snippets of our holiday home.

  1. Love your white feather tree - the header of your blog is very pretty - might I invite you to see mine? Just becaue I love finding pretty Christmas/Holiday pics and sharing them.

I love a white Christmas theme, but there are family members hellbent on red and green so we compromise in different rooms. I haven't gotten around to too many good pics of decorations yet as I'm busy with my shop and recuperating from surgery, but I'll post pics of little treasures, too - soon I hope.

Just an invitation to you and all your readers. Happy Holidays!! Scroll to the second post on the blog for what decorations I have had up.

  9. Bonjour Nancy,
First I want to thank you for your lovely email about meeting some day; we will do that! I just had to shut down the computer for a couple of days as I didn't do anything else anymore. Now I am catching up with blogposts and yours is one of the best! Haha, I can tell I have seen hundreds about Christmas by now. I love the way you make your photos, I already told you that my eyes think you are the LadureƩ in blogland, I cannot tell you what my favorite photo is, they all are competing for that first place! Enjoy this lovely holiday season!
