My mind lately has been wandering many paths. One fun path has been a decorating turn that has surprised me. Recently, I found a new blog called My Marrakesh. This blog is one American woman’s adventures in Morocco. As I read through Maryam’s blog and drooled over her amazing photos, I began to fall in love with all things Moroccan. All of the sudden, I found myself longing for sequined covered blankets, silver trays, hot colors and beaded Moroccan shoes. The best I could manage were the photos below, inspired by Moroccan style.
Enjoy!
I wanted to let you all know I will be posting some more shoes at the end of next week, Friday! Until then . . .

Hi Nancy, thank you for your lovely comments and your thoughtful email too. You are such a warm person! I think Morocco suits you! Have you ever tried Moroccon food? It's delicious, quite a taste explosion and feast! Just tell me if you need some recipes!
Have a nice day!
I have been on a blogging break and what a beautiful post to come back to! Your photos capture that mysterious, lush Moroccan style.
Hi Nancy,
Beautiful pics!
I just wanted you to know that I have opened a new category on my blog called..."Inspirational People". Although, I already have you on my blog roll, I also wanted to add you to the new category. Thank you for introducing me to Lori and her new blog...I have added her as well. Let's all be an inspiration to each other!

I've been away and am catching up on reading blogs. What a gorgeous silver tray and blue glass set to see here. So beautiful - I'd love to own such delightful moroccan things, too.

beautiful post with the lovely images Nancy...i am loving the shoes:) i hope you are having a wonderful weekend!!!
Ok, I'm hooked, too! I love the blue glasses on the silver tray and am extremely envious of the blue shoes. As soon as I saw your silver tray picture, my mind went racing to some silver trays that were given to us when we got married and I have them tucked away. I'm pulling them out and my new "hunt" will be for some marvelous glassware. Inspirational post as always. Happy Saturday!

Nancy, you will never believe this but I have those exact glasses with a similar decanter and the exact same tray, which of course is not from Morocco. How weird is that?! I didn't even know that the glasses are from Morocco, since I received them from my mom.
Those photos are certainly inspiring! I applaud you for sharing your story!

I was just at one of our local thrift shops and found a beautiful lavender glass from Morrocco...or at least it looked like it was from there...I'll go back and get it for you tomorrow!xo
I can't wait to see the new shoe pics! I love the Morrocan photos. How lovely--and different!
The doll shoes are so petite and darling...
The Moroccan items DIVINE!!
But what has struck me more than anything is your honesty about your weight....
I too am struggling... after fracturing my foot and being unable to excercise it has taken its toll on my body..
I have been trying to eat better and take much nicer care of myself... and its hard but it is slowly... very slowly working.... I will be happy once I can get an operation to fix the problem...
I see an orthopedic surgeon on Wed... so I am keeping my fingers crossed... I went last week and was told that because of the way I have compensated walking on my foot and because it has taken so long that it will take quite some time to heal...
so I totally identify with what you are going through.... I have never been this heavy in my entire life... and this is the first time I have admitted it publicly also
Hugs and I wish you much success with each step

Nancy, you are a photography hero! I so love how you put the simple composition together and capture it just right. I have a terrible time with my camera inside the house. I think your hints of Moroccan is very Victorian exotic chic. Well done! It has been too long since I stopped by to visit you.
Hugs ~

OH, the colors are simply divine!! I can see how they would inspire anyone! :)mendy

What lovely things and photographs... especially the one with the candle and the roses. I also read your previous post and visited the blog you referenced. I relate in so many ways to all you both shared. I was basically told by my thyroid dr. that I might as well not try to lose weight, that it probably just won't happen (had to have thyroid radiated 4 years ago for overactivity.) It's not fun. But I can do better with my health. Thanks for the reminder.
Blessings,
Christi
Ooooooh....love how the silver reflects the beautiful blues...
