The Last of Summer

Here are the last of my summer photos. These water balloons were so beautiful I couldn’t resist taking a photo.

This sunflower is huge. You can’t really get the scope of its size, but I’m guessing it’s at least 12 feet tall.

This photo of the pink bubble vase was taken at a favorite cafe in our downtown area. The vase is from IKEA. I fell in love with it and took a peek at the bottom. I’m glad they left the sticker on.

Apples we picked from our dwarf Fuji tree. It’s a pitiful crop this year. I’m still hoping to bake an apple crisp with these.

This pumpkin was poking itself out of the greenery. I think it’s going to be a great pumpkin year and probably an early one too because of the heat.

We didn’t do much this weekend. We stayed close to home and visited favorite local spots. The trees in our front yard are already turning colors. It was mind boggling when we went out to mow the lawn this weekend. We raked a huge load of leaves and used them to mulch our flower bed.

Blogland seems to be chomping at the bit for Fall to arrive. I know I am. Hope you all enjoyed the last big weekend of summer. We have so much to look forward to as this season makes its way into our homes.

Blessings

Hi Nancy, What beautiful colorful photos, that's just what I need; it is gray over here, raining and raining and between; raining.
We have 2 small apple trees and only 3 apples! I think you shouldn't complain ;-)!
Love the Ikea vase, I fell in love too with the large pink one of them designed by Hella Jongerius but my husband was telling me that we had more than enough vases, and I listened to him :-O!

I feel cozy coming here, knowing well it's walls, it's nooks and holding such sweet memories that have made this past summer one of my favorites of all time dearest...yes, autumn is here, school is back in session and the fun has only begun!

LOVELY PHOTOS...oh, if you get a chance, go visit Karen Harvey Cox at a Scrapbook of Inspiration. She is featuring some of Lucy Snowe's amazing photography...you will die in amazement over the ballerina on the beach....Anita

Nancy, I love all the last of the Summer photos. That sunflower is huge!!! And beautiful! I can't believe that every year I forget to plant them, because I just love them. I really did love the picture of the pumpkin too.
Yes Fall is definitely here. It was only 65 degrees here today, but I know it will warm up again for awhile. We alwasy have a wonderful Indial Summer here...and I'm not through enjoying the garden yet. Still so many blooms.

I wish we lived next door. I think we would never get anything done but take random photos of beautiful things all day long. Which is ok with me. Just hire the rest out haha! Beautiful photos! I am loving your Halloween/Fall below too! I have mine out and will start sharing my photos shortly. Thanks for the reminder. Been super busy here with school, life etc. You always give me inspiration!

Wow, Nancy, these photos are stunning. Seeing the apples and pumpkin reminds me that fall is rapidly approaching, and behind that a long winter. But so is Thanksgiving and Christmas and pumpkin pie and steaming chocolate and lots of other good stuff.

Love you
Ruben

I am so excited that Fall is just around the corner. Here in New England the air is crisp and cool.
Later today I am going to a Victorian street fair. Hopefully the temps stay cool.

Love that pumpkin and enjoy your apple crisp!

Seems like the first day of September always brings the fall, even if it doesn't officially start yet!
