What can be more heavenly at Christmas time than angel wings? I have wanted a pair of antique angel wings for years. Knowing that I will probably never own a pair has made me get creative.
I used poster board backing as a base for gluing paper feathers. Then I cut teardrop feathers, layering them on the poster board. They measure 11 inches wide by 22 inches tall. I still have to glue down the feathers and hang them.
The pair pictured below is actually one wing. I reversed the photo to see what they will look like when finished.
Not the wings of my dreams, but a fun alternative.
Merry Christmas!

They're beautiful, Nancy.
You should really submit them to Stampington when completed.

I love these, did you use coffee filters??
Whow! I love them! How clever, I love the pattern on the (tissu I guess) paper. I think you should send them to Stampington too, but first enjoy them, or better first finish them, it looks like quite an elaborate job as almost all beautiful things!
Hi Nancy, Your sister-in-law Anita sent me over to see your wings, as I just did a post with photos of the angel wings I hung on my studio windows! Your paper one is fabulous!!! I love that textured paper. Very clever!!!!! Beautiful!
