Making of a Dress or Faux Sewing

My friend wanted me to make her a dress. I laughed and said, "I can hardly sew! What kind of dress are you thinking of?"

We drove over to JoAnn's. They had the most wonderful material for summer dresses. It was a barely sew material. I rose to the occasion. I can do this. All I have to do is sew a straight seam and attach the straps!
Black velvet ribbon for the straps.

I love this material.

I hauled out my sewing machine. A Brother, and yes, it's about 20 years old!

I liked the result, and so did she. Moral of this post? If I can do it, so can you!

Nancy I can only imagine that there is nothing that you can't do. You have a talent and I love how you use that talent to bless other's lives. The dress is beautiful and your friend is so lucky to have you. I bet that she is thrilled.
I so enjoyed your 'passionate' post. I enjoy my passionate friends so much more that my 'careful and proper' friends.hehe

Lovely! Great job!
And I love what you wrote about being a passionate person. I really think God calls us all to be more passionate in the way we live--to allow ourselves to feel things, to refuse to build up walls blocking off emotion, blocking off God. :)
