Day 10 ~ Fourteen Days of Romance

Years ago, this beautiful paper cut-out was a gift for one of our anniversaries.
In our last few moving adventures, I thought we had lost it. I was pleasantly surprised to find it tucked away amongst important papers. It was originally part of a larger work.

This June, we will celebrate 22 years of marriage together. The romance of finding something you thought was lost, and having it evoke wonderful memories from the past is lovely.

What a joy to find a treasure that you feared was long lost! (I so wish I could do that with my oldest daughter's baby book that I lost when we moved...) What a lovely work of art! It makes for a beautiful valentine.

Have a wonderful weekend!

So delicate and fragile, just like love is sometimes.

Paper cutting is one of my very favorite art forms. The French excel at paper art, don't they? This is a very special piece, and I can imagine those thoughts it evokes are as beautiful the work itself.

How beautiful. I think you should frame that and hang it somewhere that you will enjoy it every time you should see it. Happy anniversary to you and your sweetheart.
