Summer Seashells

Summer is my excuse to let my seashell obsession loose in my home. I put them everywhere, on the piano, on my vanity, and all over my back kitchen counter.

When I was a little girl, I loved to hunt for seashells. I could spend hours searching for them in the sand.

This year I added these little pink shells.

I adore their luminescent color.

This sea princess crown was fashioned with love for a dear blogging friend. It will be winging it's way to her tomorrow.

How about you? Do you have any summer obsessions?

Hi Nancy!
I adore seashells too...their colors and the play of light reflecting on them is so pretty...I also love to decorate with my collection of sea glass in the summer....blues and aquas...
Your header is still my favorite summery photo!
Have a great week...
Laura :)

Well you can add my name to the list of Shell-Obsessed. Whenever I go to the beach I develop "sheller's hunch" and have trouble standing up straight for days after. I have BOXES filled with my haul from those wonderful days.

I still have no direct plans for them, though I've been meaning to make a "sailor's valentine" (picture) with them.

Maybe in my next life?

Hugs,

Kate

Oh yeah, summer is the time to put Mr. B. to work on all of my hair-brained plans to turn Rabbit Hill into our dream Bastide!!!! Another obsession is GRAPES GRAPES GRAPES, but I guess you already knew that! :)

GROSSES BISES et la couronne aux coquillages est DIVINE!!!

Beautiful Pictures!

Sunflowers, I love to fill my house with huge bouquets of sunflowers during the summer.
I am also know for my bowls of garden cherry tomatoes, my kids friends always look for this treat sitting on the counter. Our tiny tomatoes aren’t ripe until around Aug. 1st but the asking and looking for them starts now. I just realized that some of those kids have been eating those tomatoes here for fifteen years, wow…

Nancy, you always present things in such an elegant way-- honoring the natural beauty that is already there.

How pretty. I have a collection of seashells in my bathroom. I want to add a sand castle (there's a store in Monterey CA that sells these little decorative castles that are made of sand)...
My summer obsession is farmer's markets - I go to at least two a week!

Beautiful, Nancy! I'm fortunate to live in Florida so my house has shells here and there all the time! I have some blue sea glass piled in a shell, but love your pink shell idea...
