Butterflies on a Dull Winter Day

I’m going through sunshine withdrawals. I had to create something fast to lift my spirits. I started tracing and cutting.

I also found my first attempt at butterflies a year ago. I was originally planning to do an entire wall of these with all my extra time (she says sarcastically).

Obviously, I have butterflies on the brain.

Two pink hearts in a shoe. One heart is for me and the other for my husband. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.

Your Butterflies are beautiful, Nancy, especially those gold ones on the pale wall. And the real one, framed! Oh!
I gave my niece a whole rabble of white butterflies with clips on them for her hair, and I should have gotten myself a set to pin on my birch branches. I agree. We need sun and spring!! But I am enjoying the cozy days indoors, and it looks like you're making good use of the time, too.
Stay creative, mon amie!

Nancy,

I also really love those gold butterflies next to the chandelier with the aqua drops.
And I have a framed butterfly in a small circle frame just like that but with a gold frame-it's tucked away somewhere. Perhaps I should bring her out for a little spring teaser!

Did you know I've been eyeing this idea, for my daughter's room, since I first saw your flutterbys?

Did you also know that I used to add a single (sugar) butterfly to every cake I made, back when I used to bake for my clientele?

Yes, I love them. And I love all that you do with them. So glad to know someone who shares that same passion, but in far more creative ways.

Dearest sister,

Thank you for visiting today! Yes, it is always hard to pick up from having bliss and then having to get back into routine that is sometimes unpleasant!!!!! But thank heaven I have a job, so there is always two sides to the coin. AND I just don't remember this fabulous blue chandy. PERFECT BLUE COLOR! How magnificent! Anita

Hi Dear Nancy!
Oh, this is such a lovely post! I've been into butterflies myself as of late.
Those inspirational ones are enough to drive anyone's creative juices!
But my heart absolutely fluttered for this fabulous little shoe!!! I adore it.
Big hugs,
Patti
Please share it at the linky party, too!

Hi Nancy,
It's been an unusually mild here with only 3 inches of snow, but still very much winter. I look forward to spring and some outdoor vitamin D.
Love, love, love you.
